A restaurant website has to answer three questions fast: what is on the menu, what does it cost, and are you open now. Most people asking are on a phone, and often already out.
What it costs
Starter at R599 a month gives you up to 3 pages, usually Home, Menu and Contact. That is enough for most restaurants. Business at R999 a month adds up to 5 pages and a town page, which suits you if you also do functions, catering or have a separate wine list. You can also buy the site outright from R3 500 plus hosting from R200 a month.
What a restaurant site needs
- The menu as text, with prices. A PDF or a photo of the menu is hard to read on a phone, and Google can't use it as well. In your admin panel you change a price the way you edit a message.
- Hours and directions near the top, with a link to Google Maps.
- A way to book. A WhatsApp button or a form. If you already use a booking service, we link to it.
- Real photos of the food and the room. Phone photos work if the light is good.
- Specials you can change yourself, so you aren't paying someone each time the board changes.
Getting found
People search "restaurants near me" and "pizza in Stellenbosch". Google answers mostly from your Google Business Profile, so set that up first. It is free. The website gives Google something to link to and gives people the menu when they tap through.
